The Centers for Post-Acute Quality Reporting Programs issued a notice today, August 25, 2025, that the final MDS User’s Manual version 1.20.1 is available to download from this CMS webpage. This manual is effective October 1, 2025.
Per this update, there are several “refinements” which have been made to the following sections:
- Section A
- Section GG
- Section K
- Section O
In previous updates to the draft MDS, Section R was removed (May) and Appendix B was updated (August).
