Effective December 26, 2024, New York nursing homes are required to post the following information in accordance with NYS Public Health law:
Website Postings:
- Overall CMS rating on the homepage of any website maintained by the facility and on any website or webpage relating to the facility maintained by an entity which owns or operates such facility
- Overall CMS rating and ratings for health inspections, staffing and quality measures on the homepage of any website maintained by such facility and on any website
or webpage relating to such facility maintained by an entity which owns or operates such facility.
Facility Postings
- Conspicuously post its most recent overall CMS rating so that it is visible to the general public and to residents
- Conspicuously post its most recent overall CMS rating and ratings for health inspections, staffing and quality measures so that it is visible to the general public and to residents
Note that the NYSDOH website also has to display all facilities’ most current CMS ratings as part of these requirements.
