On April 11, 2025, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services released the FY 2026 SNF PPS proposed rule. The associated Fact Sheet addresses some of the key areas proposed, including:
- Proposed updates to SNF payment rates (2.8%)
- Proposed changes to PDPM ICD-10 Code mappings (for consistency with current coding guidance)
- Proposed changes to the SNF VBP Program (including revisions to the scoring methodology, potential adoption of a reconsideration process and more)
- Proposed changes to the SNF QRP (including removing four assessment data elements)
