We have been blogging for several months now that QAPI regulations for nursing homes were being finalized, but other than anticipating more information by the end of March, we didn’t have much to go on as far as a date. CMS provided some information, including their “QAPI at a Glance” guide in December 2012, and we have been awaiting final requirements. In its Open Door Forum on March 21, 2013, CMS officials noted that a final version of this document will be released at any time now, and will include additional tools to help with implementation.
