The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) issued a new QSO Memo today, March 26, 2021, that includes updated guidance for Emergency Preparedness requirements. Appendix Z of the State Operations Manual (SOM) has been updated throughout, including with expanded information as it relates to Emerging Infectious Diseases as well as additional Interpretive Guidance.
