Using the most recently available Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) data from the end of February (2/28/17), we ran a quick analysis to see what deficiencies have been highly cited for the first few months of 2017 across the country – and found no surprises. There is usually a slight lag in data reporting, so the volume of citations tends to be low, but these F-tags are usually trending right up near the top annually regardless:
- F-371 – Food Safety Requirements
- F-431 – Drug Records, Labeling/Storage Drugs & Biologicals
- F-441 – Infection Prevention and Control Program
- F-323 – Accidents
- F-329 – Unnecessary Drugs
