Rather than waiting to issue the COVID-19 staff vaccination mandate information all in one QSO Memo, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) has issued multiple sets of guidance for different states. On December 28, 2021, part of the nation’s states were alerted that their facilities’ staff would need to make quick strides to get their staff vaccinated against COVID-19. Then, on January 14, 2022, the remainder of the states, with the exception of one state, were given their marching orders to get their nursing home staff vaccinated for COVID-19. Texas was left out of those prior QSO Memos, but on January 20, 2022, CMS issued another set of guidance that only applies to Texas. So, Texas, here’s your information:
- Guidance for the Interim Final Rule – Medicare and Medicaid Programs; Omnibus COVID-19 Health Care Staff Vaccination (Ref: QSO-22-11-ALL)
- Attachment A – LTC
