September 22, 2017 is the 10th annual Falls Prevention Awareness Day. This year’s theme is “10 Years Standing Together to Prevent Falls.” Falls are the leading cause of injuries for older Americans, and the National Council on Aging has created some great information to help prevent falls in older adults, including:
