CDC updates Measles Infection Prevention & Control Recommendations

Missing piece of the puzzle

The Centers for Disease Control (CDC) released updated Interim Infection Prevention and Control Recommendations for Measles in Healthcare Settings on July 24, 2019. CDC recommends that this guidance be implemented as part of a comprehensive infection prevention program to prevent the spread of germs in healthcare settings among patients, staff and visitors.

Healthcare settings include nursing homes and assisted living facilities, home healthcare, acute care facilities, long-term acute care facilities, inpatient rehab facilities, outpatient facilities and vehicles such as mobile clinics where healthcare services are provided.
