October 1, 2015 is right around the corner, and with it comes the annual update of the MDS 3.0 Manual. In this updated version of the Manual, there were no new items added and no items deleted. Modifications were made for grammar/typos, as well as:
- Chapter 2 regarding new facilities and changes in ownership
- Chapter 5 regarding Section X
- Section 1 regarding Z-codes, which are part of ICD-10 (effective October 1, 2015 also!)
- Section M regarding healed pressure ulcers
One of the updates that was made was updated links to some important information that you may need, including ICD-10 coding and the links to various MDS-related documents, all of which can be found in the new version.
