The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) issued a QSO memo, “Notice of Final Rule Adjusting Civil Monetary Penalties (CMPs) for Inflation) on January 22, 2019. The final rule provides a list of updated CMP amounts and ranges that were effective October 11, 2018 when the final rule was published in the Federal Register. The CMP list in this QSO memo addresses penalties for Skilled Nursing and Nursing Facilities (SNF/NF) and Home Health Agencies (HHAs), as well as Clinical Labs.
