The unpublished Federal Register version of the final rule Medicare and Medicaid Program: Conditions of Participation for Home Health Agencies provides updates to the CoPs for HHAs. Keys to the new requirements include:
- Focusing on the care delivered to patients receiving home health services
- Taking an interdisciplinary view towards patient care
- Providing greater flexibility for HHAs to meet quality care standards
- Eliminating unnecessary procedural requirements
